Jewish-Christian Relations in Light of the Holocaust

Hybrid, October 13 & October 20

This two session seminar, led by Dr. David Oughton, will focus on the relationship between Jews and Christians before, during, and after the Holocaust. The relationship between Christian anti-Judaism and Nazi "racial" antisemitism will be examined.

This seminar will be led by Dr. David Oughton, a scholar of Holocaust and Genocide Studies. In-person and virtual participation option are available. Those who attend the seminar will have the opportunity to tour the newly expanded St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum at a later date.

This six-part course explored different expressions of Christianity, including Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Reformed Protestantism, Episcopalian, Historically Black Protestantism, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Christian Science.

This eight-week course included interviews with guests in each of the major non-Christian religions, including Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, Ethical Humanism, and the Baha’i Faith.
